Our carers were joined by Caring Changes staff on the Pier to Pier Recovery Walk.
The walk started at the Cafe Bungalow next to Roker Pier and finished at the Herd Groyne Lighthouse at South Shields.
Sarah, a carer said “Enjoyed a nice walk with the dog, getting out the house and meeting some nice people.”
Gail Blackwood, Carer Practitioner, for Caring Changes said “Always enjoyable, good exercise and a great cause !”
Caroline Shaw, Project Coordinator, for Caring Changes said: “The weather was not the best but staff and carers really enjoyed the opportunity to get out in the open air.
“Conversation flowed between the people who use our service and the people in recovery. They were able to share experiences and was a worth while day.”
