We were delighted to be invited to Oaktrees Sunderland, to celebrate the structured day programme opening 2 years ago. It was a fabulous day that really gave us a taste of what a non-residential rehab has to offer. Oaktrees aims to stop the cycle of addiction and enable people to give back to the communities in which they live. Graduates were brave enough to tell their own personal recovery stories, which were so moving there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!
The day definitely finished off on a high note with a good old fashioned sing along lead by Basement Harmonies, a singing group for both people in recovery and Concerned Significant Others.

If you’d like to experience the feel good factor of singing in a group, please speak to any of the workers at Caring Changes or Wear Recovery and come along!
