We provide support for family members, partners and friends, in Sunderland, who are affected by someone else’s drinking or drug use.
Family members and carers play a critical role in supporting their loved one’s recovery. At Caring Changes we offer information, advice and guidance to ensure they can continue to support in a meaningful and helpful way.
We recognise how deeply caring for someone who misuses substances can affect wellbeing. Carers may experience financial difficulties, isolation and stress which can result in their own health problems.
Caring Changes aims to support those affected by someone else’s substance misuse to make small changes to achieve a better balance between their caring role and life outside that role. That way they can stay well and continue to support the treatment and recovery of the person they care for.
